One of my favorite reality series, ABC's The Mole re-premieres tonight after a miserable multi-year hiatus. The original series debuted in America in 2001 and was hosted by the then-pretty-much-unknown Anderson Cooper.
12 contestants complete challenges to raise money for a general pot up to $500,000. One of the twelve is a "mole" working against the rest of the group in order to sabotage challenges. At the end of each episode the contestants take a quiz testing their knowledge of who the mole is based on their observations. The person with the lowest score, and therefore knowing the least about the mole, is kicked off the show. This happens every week until finally only the mole and the contestant knowing the most about the mole remain. The contestant wins all, and the mole is hated by all.

It's like a mix of The Amazing Race and Bourne Identity.

The Coops won't be hosting though, instead Extra's Jon Kelley will be.

Either way, I'm there!

Check it out tonight on ABC at 10/9 central.

PS: I'm totally the Mole.
